Course Description

This full year course is an overview of how science is used to solve crimes.  Students will learn laboratory techniques used to analyze evidence, make inferences and use deductive reasoning to solve crimes.  Students will participate in a mock crime scene to apply knowledge and skills gained. Case studies, online research, lab activities will be an integral part of this course. There is no textbook for this course.

  • 3-ring binder
  • Dividers for each unit 
  • Pencil and or pen
  • Scientific Calculator (blood spatter unit, only)
